Product Review: Riceworks

To me, there's almost no better combination than cinnamon and sugar...well, maybe chocolate and peanut butter. But when my mom found a Cinnamon Sugar flavor of Riceworks, I tore open the bag like a 5 year-old on Christmas Day! Then I proceeded to eat almost the entire contents of the bag like I was a lioness who just caught my prey.

The bonus? They're reasonably nutritious for a gluten-free treat! They have other flavors, too - like Sea Salt, Parmesan, Wasabi, Sweet Chili, and Salsa Fresca. I've tried and loved the Sea Salt (great with cheddar cheese) and Sweet Chili (reminiscent of Doritos), but have not tried the others yet.

The coveted Cinnamon ones can be found at the Harris Teeter in Thruway Shopping Center off of Stratford Road and Knollwood Street. Please share other places you have found them!

Oh yeah, did I mention there is a $1.00 off coupon the their website?

Gluten-free products at Costco

I found gluten free trailmix by Mareblu and gluten free ready-to-eat meals and kids meals by GoPicnic at Costco.

GoPicnic ready-to-eat meals are filled with natural ingredients, and contain no trans fats, high fructose corn syrup, added MSG, artificial colors, artificial flavors or peanut ingredients.

Mareblu Naturals only uses the finest ingredients to bring you these tasty, natural snacks. These crunchy little morsels are oven-roasted with a pinch of all natural sea salt, lightly glazed with sweetness, then packaged in-house to guarantee freshness. This variety pack allows you to sample each of the four great flavors in a small convenient snack sized pouch: Almond Crunch, Pistachio Trail Mix Crunch, Blueberry Pomegranate Trail Mix Crunch, and Cashew Crunch.

I haven't tried them yet, but am excited about these snacks!

Who put gluten in my tea?!

Starbucks, that's who! With all the buzz about the gluten free orange Valencia cake being pulled off the market and being replaced with the gluten free Kind bars (delicious, by the way), I thought I'd share a little tid-bit about the Tazo tea. Maybe I'm the last to find out, but just in case...

On their website in the FAQ section they state: "Our teas are gluten-free, except for the following: Green Ginger, Tazo Honeybush, Lemon Ginger, and Tea Lemonade." www.tazo.com
