New local, sustainable market in Buena Vista

Farmers markets are one of the best places to find gluten free goodies. Fresh produce, eggs, meat, dairy straight from the farm? How can you beat that? Check out the news from Smitty's Notes. I highly recommend the Goat Lady's chocolate truffles.

Reynolda Fresh Market opening in the Buena Vista neighborhood.

Opening in the Buena Vista area is a new fresh market in the neighborhood. The Reynolda Fresh Market will be located at 1206 Reynolda Rd at the former Pink Mink boutique and the popular Krankie’s Airstream coffee drive thru. The proprietors of the fresh market are Katherine Lassiter, MaryLynn Ackerman and Frank Blankenship, Sr.

They will feature a host of locally grown fresh produce; some will be organic or sustainable. Eggs, meats and products from Homeland Dairy, The Goat Lady Cheese, Ollie’s Bakery, fudges, “old school” hard candy and much more. A soft opening is planned for Saturday, July 18 th and open for business the following week. A grand opening will be later in July as more products arrive.
